Young Astronauts’ Day is a full day of hands-on, STEM workshops for 1st-8th grade students. Students choose a “Flight” to travel based on their appropriate grade level and participate in three workshops through out that “Flight”. All students will receive a Museum of Aviation t-shirt and lunch. Click here for the complete YAD Information Packet. Parents are not required to stay for the event. Dropoff is an option. You are welcome to join us for the opening ceremony and stay with your student(s) until they are dismissed to their first workshop. Please read dismissal instructions carefully if you plan to leave. Blue Flight: 1st - 2nd Grades: T-37 Cockpit, ISS, and Ozobots
Red Flight: 2nd - 4th Grades: Astro Training, Stomp Rockets, and Robotics
Purple Flight: 3rd - 5th Grades: BB-8 Robots, Moon Rocks, and Light up Lanyards
Green Flight: 5th - 8th Grades: Get a Leg Up, C-130 Airplane, Gliders
Yellow Flight: 6th -8th Grades: Ham Radio, Parachutes, Unlock the Box
